Love the location close to everything beach, old town, shops. The welcome message had clear instructions how to access the building. The size of the room and bathroom and amenities were good. I like the fact that host deliver fresh towels thru the stay but there was no information about it, unless I missed it.

That there was done all without face to face interaction. Being first time in the city I would like to have face to face interaction to get some answers for questions how to get around etc. The place was a bit noisy due to location but also building being older. When I booked the information was book now pay latter but payment was taken right away.

Die Matratze ist sehr hart und als Seitenschläfer bohren sich die Federn dir zwischen die Rippen. Die Fenster lassen sehr viel Lärm von der Straße durch. Wasserdruck in der Dusche könnte höher sein.

Excellent location. Next to the Sé Cathedral. Very close to everything in Funchal. Street parking is a problem in the city. Difficult, with many rules. However, there is a private parking lot called Santa Luzia 500 meters from the apartment. It costs 5 euros per day. I recommend parking there. Very good parking. Getting to the apartment from the parking lot is easy, because it is downhill. The apartment has all the basics you need. The beds are comfortable, there are kitchen utensils, a minibar and protective equipment such as a fire extinguisher, a blanket against fire and burns, a first aid kit in the bathroom and a basic first aid kit. There is a water filter on the ground floor where we can fill bottles with water to drink. That’s great. There is a part of the stairs that is part of the ceiling of the apartment. Right next to the minibar. It should have a colored safety strip. I hit my head several times when trying to open the minibar. Checking in is very easy and fast. The internet in Apartment 301 was very bad, unstable and the signal was poor. I told to the owner about the internet, but it was not resolved. I had to use my own internet. At first I had problems also with the air conditioning that would turn off automatically, but I solved the problem myself. They changed the towels on the 3rd day. I don’t know how often they change. Communication with the owner is easy, always through the booking platform. I was complained about supposedly making noise at night. But I was just talking to my family online and watching TV. Either the walls are thin or the neighbor was annoying. It doesn't depend on the owner of the apartment. I didn’t hear any noise. We can leave the luggage after checkout. That’s important if your flight is in the evening or night. Overall it was good.

The room was great and very clean. The location was perfect.
