Private Pool Apt. with Great View

The Quinta is beautiful, quiet and clean in a lovely part of Funchal. The gardens and pools are amazing and you can truly relax there. The hosts are incredible in being attentive and making you feel comfortable. They can also recommend and help book activities to make the most of your trip.

the Quinta was beautiful, clean, well appointed, and had so many original features that made the environment so appealing day and night. The private courtyard and pool were amazing along with the gorgeous banana trees swaying in the breeze with sea views were to die for. We absolutely loved this place and didn’t want to leave as we had just so switched off for the week. The owners left us some fantastic wine and treats and were so welcoming. If you want privacy and still only 15 minutes walk from the old town this is perfect. There is bus stop outside and has shops nearby.

there was nothing at all that was wrong with this place and the owners are spending a lot of time and resource on developing the Quinta further to make other areas even better. It’s hard to fault this fantastic traditional property.

Great location . Able to walk into Funchal.Very relaxing vibe and comfortable accommodation. We were well looked after by the host and nothing was too much trouble.

Walk into Funchal was down a steep hill. This was OK but there are no pavements . Driving is very fast and road very narrow so be very cautious.

When we first arrived lovely greeting from Helena and she was very helpful with taxis. Gardens where we’ll keep.

At first it looked lovely but once you had a good luck around the rustic appears turned into needs a lot of work to get up to a good standard. Electrics dangerous, ladder into pool came out of the floor once getting into pool. Bathroom needs updating, bed uncomfortable very hard. Going up to the spiral staircase felt unsafe. Couldn’t sit down in part of garden as seating wood rotten. Didn’t complain at the time as so much needs updating.

Fantastic communication from host who ensured we were met at property,. Were able to check in straight from airport before midday. Warm greetings from Carla when we arrived. Met host Roberto soon after checked in. Super friendly and welcoming. Had excellent communication with Helena during week . She always kept us up to date with local events going on. Made a special effort to come and visit during the week. Hospitality second to none. Amazing setting in beautifully manicured gardens. Property clean, bright and airy. Really comfortable and homely. Location perfect. Bus stops right outside. Can't recommend property enough. Thank you for making our stay special

We loved the whole property, including our apartment and the gardens. The location was what we wanted and expected - a short walk to the old town. Taxis back were cheap and easy.

The location is great. A litle oasis of rest in the middle of the city. The garden is nice and the view is beautiful. The host i spoke to was Helena, she was the best. She helpt us verry well in getting our footings.

The bed needs a top or a new matras, i am a litle bit heavier then avarage (105kg) i pretty much was laying on the iron spirals. The couch in the yards is busted. The seatings have collapsed, so you cant realy sit comfortable infront of your appartment. The water boiler is verry small. My partner and i couldnt shower back to back. Not enough hot water.
