Couldn’t have been a better location, in the center of everything. The best, most wonderful friendly staff, super clean, everything you need is at Edificio Charles. Will definitely be back!

The square can be a bit noisy at times but you’re in the city! Soundproof windows worked very well.

Very nice owner who allowed us to let our baggage there for a few hours after check-out when we went to pick up our rental car, so we didn´t have to carry it with us (much appreciated!). Extremely central, just a few steps from the Se Cathedral, shops, restaurants, pedestrian zone. About 5 minutes walk from the Aerobus stop no. 6 (Avenida do Mar). Anything you want in Funchal is perfectly doable on foot from this accommodation. Beds were comfortable for us and the bathwoom was sparkling clean. There was salt, sugar, coffee and some basic spices in the kitchen that we gladly used. Much recommended!

I would prefer "standard" chairs in the kitchen part (there were two higher stools instead). There was only one bed-side table. A balcony would be nice - this apartment doesn´t have it but the other units in this accommodation building do have it. Oh, and one night some girls/women were singing loudly late at night just under our windows but this has nothing to do with the apartment - you just have to accept some occasional noise in the small hours as the position is very central.
