The Penthouses, 8 Albion Mews

The location is spot on for walking around the wall, seeing the main shopping areas and enjoying the many and various restaurants. We were also happy to have a dedicated parking space for the duration of our stay. It was a bit tight but we managed to get our mid-sized car parked safely.

The apartment building is currently undergoing maintenance work on the outside, meaning there is scaffolding and sheeting at the front of the building. Whilst it didn't interfere with our stay, it did mean we had to keep the bedroom curtains closed during the day and even when open, we didn't have an external view. Overall though, it didn't spoil our stay.

Beautiful apartment in an excellent location. It was immaculate and very well decorated with all the mod cons that you need. Lovely welcome basket and bottle of Prosecco for the work going on outside. Provided a beautiful bunch of flowers for my partner on our anniversary.

The only negative is that the parking space is quite tight anyway and the owner of apartment no.7 was parked on the line when we arrived so had to park very near the wall. He then deliberately parked over the line, basically blocking us in the next day, we couldn’t physically get in our car on either side. Thankfully when we left he was out so the car wasn’t there. Think he might need speaking to about being a considerate neighbour.

Location was amazing! Free parking space was brilliant, and the place itself was perfect. We were kept awake at night by the wind and the scaffolding with covers that made quite a racket and then the workers in the morning but that's not anybodys fault. The host apologised in advance and left us a bottle of prosecco which was a nice gesture. We'd still definitely stay again and recommend to friends x

We had trouble sleeping but the scaffolding/work is not the hosts fault and won't always be there.

Lovely apartment in great location. Extremely convenient for access to the City walls which was a great way to get into the centre of Chester. Vibrant location with excellent restaurants nearby.

Quite a few steps to climb.

It was very well set out, lovely and clean and had everything needed for a stay in this beautiful city. The location was great as it was only a very short walk to the city walls, shops and restaurants.

Beautiful apartment, spotlessly clean and in a great location. Within easy walking distance of the many attractions and shops in Chester but super quiet. Very helpful owners who left milk and a welcome pack as well as lots of info on the area. One of the best I have stayed in and we were blessed with lovely weather to explore as well as enjoying the delights of Chester Christmas Market. If we two 70 plus year olds can cope with the 40 steps up to the apartment in the future we would happily return!

Parking is a little tight, especially when somebody parked very close to the markers leaving us very little room to squeeze into our car. Obviously not the owners fault and apart from that I would have to say nothing!
