Perfect location.

The only good thing about this accom is its location. The downstairs door which directly faces the street does not lock. Doesn’t feel very safe. Plus there’s no elevator or washing machine. Much thanks to the host for providing FREE wifi tho.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment for one night, and it was a deeply disappointing experience from start to finish. There was no heating, and the apartment was freezing cold during the night—sleeping was nearly impossible. The only heat source were 2 old electrical heaters that didn’t improve the room temperature much and made a lot of noise, especially during night. It’s located directly above a Döner restaurant, which caused a strong, unpleasant smell to fill the apartment. The furniture was old, damaged, and in terrible condition, making the space feel neglected and uncomfortable. On top of that, the apartment was dirty, with flies and other insects present, and a constant musty mold smell that was really off-putting. We didn’t receive the exact address until arrival, which felt deliberately vague, and the photos in the listing were completely misleading, since they don’t reflect the poor condition of the apartment. Since the apartment fee is non-refundable, we were lucky to have only booked it for one night—spending more time there would have been unbearable. Even though we arrived in Cologne at lunch time and saw the apartment, we only returned there late in the evening and left first thing in the morning because we honestly didn’t want to spend any extra minute there. It’s absolutely not worth the money. For just 20 euros more, you can book two modern, clean hotel rooms in the same area that are immensely better in every possible way. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Single down comforter in a king bed. In the 'kitchen-living room', the boiler that makes noise all night, noise from the street until late. No curtain on the kitchen window (for the morning light). No bidet sprayer and just one towel holder in the bathroom. No gel and shampoo for the shower.

There are a lot of great restaurants in the area and we celebrated my wife's 50th birthday nearby. Cologne cathedral is amazing, just amazing and is very close by, about 5 mins walking, also the proximity to the Rhine river was most excellent, this would be a great place to stay in summer.

Make sure that you understand the parking situation if you are driving as parking is a bit of nightmare and expensive. dragging your bag or multiple bags is a little painful as you can't drive up to the front door
