The Whiteways

The place was in a good location for us to get to where we wanted to go and it was well equipped with pots, pans cutlery etc. the host was lovely and helped resolve some issues we had with the cleanliness upon our arrival (in particular the bathroom) and provided some more toilet rolls when we requested them. He also set up the beds to be twins rather than a double (as requested). It's a compact little property, that works well for two people, whether a couple or two singles and the price was very reasonable.

When we arrived, the property wasn't particularly clean, stains on the toilet, crumbs on the worktops and in drawers and the microwave looked filthy. I messaged the host and he did apologise and offered to clean things for us, however I just asked him to do the microwave and toilet. Another issue with the microwave, is that when you close the door, it stays on constantly and you can't time the food you're cooking. The stairs in the property are quite steep and are spiral, so it was quite difficult getting up and down, especially with luggage. A hand rail would be useful. The property looks a little worn down, so could do with a fresh lick of paint but it's not the end of the world. I would recommend buying some better toilet roll as the stuff we had was paper thin and just crumbled, It wasn't pleasant to use!

Very well appointed and presented apartment, location excellent for visiting nearby family in an area that does nopt have many accommodation offers

Key to outside red gate a little difficult to use at night, perhaps an outside light may help.

Close to where we needed to be. Clean, tidy, cosy, well-equipped. Good to have off-road parking. Information/instructions about arrival were clear . Owner very friendly when we met him.

Access through gate and two doors was a little awkward. Because it is open plan and we had heating on in lounge it meant the bedroom was a little warm.

It was lovely to have my own space after visiting my Granddaughter in her student shared house. I cooked what I wanted , had easy access to internet , TV and a comfy bed. The apartment was scrupulously clean . It was warm too. Lovely shower and all basic supplies provided. I saw the host briefly on the morning I left. He was charming.

I am 70 , and struggled a bit with the spiral staircase. But it was fine .

Was very peaceful and cozy everything was perfectly nice and location also good Owner was also very nice and welcoming 🙏 Thank you so much for everything
