Funchal Centre Comfort

Location, tidiness, size, organization and equipment of the flat are fantastic. This made our stay fully comfortable and lovely, especially after a long hiking day out.

The fact that it has no private parking because free parking spots in the city centre are particularly difficult to find. Sometimes you can smell an odour from the toilet pipes but, honestly, it did not affect at all our stay as it was not strong and which however is due to the island’s peculiar sewer system. The property also provides some air fresheners and that’s enough.

Communal stairs lights sometimes never came on automatically. Nowhere to hang towels in shower room as both hooks were broken. Even with toilet door closed could still smell drains. Apart from that everything was fine.

I liked the general okay loaction and the fact it was close to the city centre. The multiply rooms and large space were nice too. Relatively clean. It's a beautiful place with plenty of space and a full kitchen. Loved the landry area too :)

I didn't like the fan switch. I didn't have a cover button, so it's pretty impossible to turn it on and off. I didn't like I had to get hammered with parking fees roughly 25 dollars for 4 days due to no availability on street parking. Like it's fine there's no parking on the entire isalnd I get it but you should have a voucher for a discount atleast at a parking garage. The bathroom smelled horrible, but it's due to madieras' water solution, so nothing can be done there, but the smell was horrible in the downstairs, too. The elevator was a bit stetchy to use frankly. I didn't trust it much after it stopped for a solid 7 mins the first day.

DO NOT STAY HERE ! Firstly SO overpriced, the bed was hard as a rock and no blankets. No lights to get to the room.

THE STAFF were TERRIBLE. I did not get my accommodation information until 2 hours before I stayed there. He ignore me on all platforms. When listed he had two Mobil numbers for emergency and wanting help and absolutely no one ever got back to me ! NEVER AGAIN

Best ever location, in the centre of the city. Simple way with instructions to get the keys. Kitchen well equipped, place was very clean. Restaurants all around, we were happy to be in this apartment.

The toilet had a constant drain/ canal smell. Some comments which are not necessarily negative but were not clear beforehand: The shower had a tiny room with a door but the basin was outside with no door. (For us no issue, but this did not come through from the pictures). The smaller room with the single bed has no window (again for us was no issue). The aircon is a unique solution, windows in the living room were not openable only the ones in the double bedroom.

A lot of space, right in the city center, close to everything except parking but we parked close in streets. Very kind stuff and easy access to apartment. Lift to the apartment.
