"All in all very nice."

Lovely setting, very nice beds, comfortable.

The water cooker broke and leaked. There were no additional towels to wipe or use for dishes the dishes. Also no spoons, forks or knives, just chopsticks. When the train passes by, the house shakes.

"Waste of money"

Spacious. Bathroom was good.

We were extremely disappointed with this stay. The description doesn't adequately describe the accommodation. You need a car to stay here as it's 30mins walk from anywhere and a train journey to actual Nikko. We stayed in unit 9, which it's 2 bedrooms, however the 2nd bedroom is the attic and you have to go through the first bedroom to get into it. It would be extremely hot in there in summer as there are no windows or air conditioning in that little room. The lounge is just camping chairs and table with a TV no bigger than a laptop, no couch or anything else pleasant. The kitchen has a tiny grill and hit plates, which did work, but the microwave only worked temperamentally, the kettle leaked, and there was no cutlery or plates, just some bowls and enough chopsticks for each person per night. The washing machine had a note saying 'malfunctionin', which I can see from the other reviews has been that way for many months, so the host of happy to market the accommodation with this but it's not actually interested in fixing it for their guests. The description says there is luggage storage available but we were told after booking that it isn't actually possible as there are no staff on site. The host was very unhelpful and dismissive. No taxis service this accommodation so you're stuck unless you have a Japanese number and the host said they can only help with accommodation issues but then couldn't even be bothered to provide us with an extra rubbish bag. It's reasonably well priced to stay here but I wish we had paid a bit more to stay somewhere pleasant.

Very easy to get into, was instructed the keys would be available via self check in via a lockbox in the front reception entrance. Had my name on it in both Japanese and English. No fuss and the box/cabin were both very easy to find.

The apartment was a touch cold when entering initially but it really was not an issue because the heater heated up the apartment in no time.

"The stay was very convenient. There's a nearby supermarket and it is very quiet and serene."

I like the Sweden vibes the whole village radiates.

The vegetation on the village's kinda bulbous. I think it needs regular trimming.
