The payment protocol was unacceptable. When we booked thru booking.com, everything went smoothly. After booking was complete. Days before the trip, we received a message from the admission of the hotel demanding 25% ($53.00) of the bill be paid in advance thru wire transfer. They would not accept our credit card as payment . If this is part of their requirements this should have been brought to my attention at the time of booking NOT 1- 2 days before we leave for Spain. I wish I would have known at that time of hotel selection as I never would have booked at this hotel. This caused a lot of stress for me and my wife. I have to state that I would pay for thr entire stay in Cash upon arrival.

Perfect place to stay. Light, nicely decorated, clean. Everything you needed for your stay in Granada. It was also very close to restaurants, the cathedral and walking distance from the Alhambra. Of all the apartments we’ve stayed in , this has been the best.

The location was wonderful - right in the heart of town and close to many shops and restaurants. Bus service was close as well. The room was very spacious and clean. I was so thankful for the washing machine and supplies. It was a nice touch that there was a pitcher of cold water in the refrigerator.

Payment arrangements were difficult. I was messaged an address and floor number. Being from another country, it was not easy to find the proper building since there were no markings on the door and there was no way to get into the building. The call buttons didn't list the company I was looking for and didn't seem to go to the floor I was given. I had to wait until someone was leaving to get into the building. It was unseasonably cold and raining so the whole situation just wasn't ideal. Once I got to the correct floor, there was an unmanned desk in the hallway. A sign nearby let me know I was likely in the correct place but had no idea what to do since there was no one around, no seating area, no bell, no note. A couple of young ladies eventually appeared, took my credit card and messaged me the door code. If I could have skipped the drama with taking the payment, it would have been a perfect experience.

The room is clean. Very big. The location is convenient. The staff is very friendly.

There are some delayed replies at night because the front desk is not 24 hours. But since most things are good, it is not a big problem.

The apartment was spacious, bright, clean and nicely decorated. It had all the amenities advertised in the listing. The management company’s representative, Cristina, was excellent and immediately responded to our queries of which there were many. We were from Canada and we were having difficulty learning how to use the appliances. The location was superb and interesting. We were able to walk everywhere. There were countless restaurants, monuments, and interesting shopping areas within minutes of the apartment. I highly recommend. Well worth the price.

I have two minor criticisms. The first was that the listing was somewhat misleading. We had thought there were two bedrooms, two bathrooms. But, in fact, four apartments in the building were advertised on the one site leading us to believe there were two bedrooms rather than one. However, when we spoke to Cristina, she told us there was a sofa bed in the living room and immediately came over with bedding. The sofa bed was very comfortable. There were two full bathrooms. Secondly, there is no elevator and twenty-six stairs to the apartment. If you are unable to carry your luggage up that number of stairs, or do stairs on a regular basis, you will have a problem.

We had a fantastic stay at PATIOdeLUZ. This is a great apartment and we would recommend it to any travellers looking to stay in Granada. Plenty of space, spotlessly clean, great location and warm communication from the host.

We were charged a cleaning fee at the time of payment- I would have preferred for it to be included in the original booking price.

The apartment was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, in a great location and had everything you could possibly need for a stay, even down to providing plasters and other useful items I have not seen anywhere else. The hosts were extremely responsive to any questions on WhatsApp and were very helpful and accommodating a last minute request to use the extra bed in the living room. This is one of the best apartments I have ever rented for a city break and cannot recommend it highly enough.
