Altstadt-Süd - CGN Apartments

On arrival the owner met us and showed everything. Comfortable accommodation with more than everything needed for a short stay (we were there a week). Good location - close to the main points of Cologne (really walking distance)

Would be good to have a bit more spoons and plates in the kitchen :-)

Very good place to stay for the asked price. 20 mins walk to Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof). Small supermarkets and restaurants are nearby. Enough space for 2-3 people.

Really uncomfortable bath/shower - boiler hangs just upon the middle of bath. Because of relatively central location street can be noisy up until midnight.

Great location for our use, 30 min walk to Lanxess Arena and 20 mins to train station. Great host. Most of what you need for your stay in Cologne

Could use better cooling options for hot days. Some noise from outside, since window had to be open due to heat but not too much. Need a new shower head, but that is a quick fix.

The location in terms of sightseeing and close to the Rhine was excellent and the apartment was very clean. It was nice to have free tea and coffee and a good coffee maker. The apartment had a washing machine which we found useful.

The stairs are a problem if you have heavy luggage. Luckily we were helped by the owners friend with our heavy case. The shower over the bath was functional but we would have preferred a separate shower. The location opposite a night club was not great, also with passers by and traffic. We had to keep the windows open because of the heat and the noise went on until the early hours.
