Lido View Calla by An Island Apart

I was so pleasantly surprised. Right from the start you get access to the platform with all the necessary information about the place and area. you also get a code to the key, the check in is smooth. you also have a contact to the owner so you can be in touch in case of any need. The apartment is clean and spacious. there is also a cleaning service after a week. everything is new (the mattress) and the kitchen is well equipped. Everything is truly perfect, the apartment is located closely to the restaurants, shops, the bus stop, beach.

the view from the balcony could be better but I guess it would cost much more and I couldn’t afford it then ;)

An absolutely outstanding experience. The apartment "U" on the 2nd floor that we stayed at is exceptionally well-kept and clean, and features an exhaustive set of all possible household items and appliances that one may ever need, including a microwave, a toaster, a blender, a washing machine, and a full set of kitchenware and cooking utensils, to name a few. The rooms are spacious and full of light, with the windows facing west. The nearest bus stop is just 100 meters away, and there are two grocery stores nearby: a small Spar in the house next door, and a much more versatile Pingo Doce up the hill. Upon booking the apartment, you'll receive a unique link that will contain all the necessary info for your stay, and that you can also use for communicating with the host, which is a company, meaning that, most probably, you'll never meet them in person. You'll have to pick the first set of keys up from the code-locked box next to the outside door, and you will find the second set inside the apartment. There is an elevator in the block, despite it having 3 floors only. The apartment also has an assigned parking spot in the garage on the underground floor (note that the garage entrance is a bit too steep, so be really careful while driving in and out). Please note that during your stay (and probably depending on the length of it, which was 8 days in our case), an intermediate cleaning may be performed that you'll be notified of one day in advance. Six thumbs up, two per each of us! Will definitely return here if we visit Madeira again. And don't forget to take a 5-minute walk down to the sea to greet the rising sun in the mornings.

Absolutely nothing. Please note that right above the apartment, there is an Indian restaurant that may produce some noise in the evenings when they rearrange the furniture (no noise from the customers whatsoever), although they fully respect the law and cut off before 10 PM.
