We arrived late but were met by Betty who is a lovely girl who was most welcoming . The apartment is first class everything is high quality and having parking is essential for those who hire a car however it is easy to walk to the centre of Funchal .The extra touches of food and wine etc that we were left as a welcome pack were much appreciated.

The apartment is really spacious and clean! Me and my father had everything we needed: coffee maker, toaster, all necessary things for cooking (even containers to take away food for a long hiking days), big wardrobe, many towels and nice views all around. I really appreciated how comfortable kitchen is for cooking, and how beautiful is the view from the balcony (especially night time). The host was very kind and helpful. Also left us plenty of treats from Madeira, which we wouldn’t try otherwise. Big thank you from us, we really enjoyed our stay!

Gerry was as reliable and friendly as ever. It is always nice to see him again. It's nice when a welcome package of basic supplies is waiting in the apartment's kitchen. It is a thoughtful gesture that we appreciate. We like the spaciousness of the apartment and the large balcony with views. The location is also close to the center. And we always sleep very well in the apartment because it is quiet and the bed is comfortable.

The air conditioner was not as efficient as we would have liked. Cooling the living room was bit slow. Maybe the device needs maintenance? A similar type of device in our home is much more efficient. And yes - we kept the curtains closed against the worst of the sun. The sofa could be a bit more comfortable and the bathroom towels softer, but these are things that only come to mind because everything else already works so well.
