Tranquil Beachside Stay - Atlantic Gardens Beach

Apartment had genorous size, was clean, equipped with everything what is needed to stay for a short break. Very friendly staff allowed us to stay at the pool as we had a late flight back. It was a life saver for us, thank you for that.

As a non smoker family we were annoyed by smoke coming into the apartment due to someone smoking in nearby apartment's balcony. We had to shut our balcony every day mornings and evenings.

no reception support during Saturday and Sunday. Time to time even on Friday. Maybe the cause was - low season. It seems that the hotel too close the Ocean. It was too noisy

The most gorgeous view! The apartment was exactly as described and perfect for our stay.

A very minor point, but some of the decor was a little on the tired side. If you want a homely apartment feel, this place is for you.

Stayed at 415 a large 1 bedroomed flat overlooking the Praia Formosa beach and a trendy bar below for sunset enjoyment. Perfect sunsets also from the balcony! The flat has all that you need but minimal kitchenware for four persons. Couch converts to a double bed. You need to request service directly with the staff (9-5 only). I stayed 10 days and needed to prompt them for a linen change. Washing machine greatly appreciated but a small vacuum cleaner would also be welcome. The residence is indeed close to some bars & restaurants on the beach promenade/nearby in access road. However not suitable for persons with mobility issues as there are many stairs/steep slopes in order to get to the main road for the supermarkets/bakeries and buses. Nearest stairs are located just after the Manisa Bar. The airport transfer bus (last stop) is located in the side road next to residence.You can also get this to Funchal centre but would be a more costly ticket. Close the bedroom window as the bus may disturb your sleep. In all good position for the beach and walks along the promenade to Funchal and Câmara de Lobos. Tunnel open 9-22. I did not use the pool but the beachside garden is nicely kept. Thanks to Sandra for attending out of hours on my arrival as lock box for entry card was inaccessible.

Hard single beds. Bathroom’s air ventilation did not seem to work. Building’s position is only suitable for able bodied persons and/or those with a car. Wi-fi does not work in the bathroom or bedroom only balcony/living room/kitchen side.

Room was spacious - young family - 4 of us. Pool was great. Perfect for the kids. The (lovely) beach was basically our back garden. Restaurants and bars are 5 mins walk along rhe beach.

No staff anywhere at all. Long walk to nearest supermarket/shops.
