Beautiful apartement with stunning view!

Everything was very good

Bruno, our host was realy friendly. The appartment was very nice, we got a fruit basket, coffee, tee and water. Bus station is close by the house.

It could be a bit loud from the road. But everything else was perfect ;-)

The location was good. It was up a pretty steep hill, but if you got the right bus from Funchal, (24), it stopped almost outside. The flat was very clean and comfortable. The host, Bruno, was excellent and sorted out any minor issues straight away. We hired a car for a few days and the garage facilities were also good. We loved the welcome goodies Bruno left for us to enjoy.

The flat is on the 5th floor, but because it's on the corner of a 1-way street, there was quite a lot of traffic noise. We were there in January, so all the doors/windows were generally closed. But if it was warmer and you needed them open (there isn't any air con), then the noise could have been a nuisance. The flat was well equipped but some items for cooking were missing. Simple, low cost items like a fish slice, sieve. The non stick pans had seen better days and whilst there were an abundance of nice plates, there were only a few chipped bowls which really needed replacing. All in all though, nothing that was a real problem.

We had an insanely great time in Madeira. Bruno was a super host and supported us very well with all our questions/topics. The flat is in a great location and equipped with everything you need. In the immediate vicinity are countless restaurants and also shopping facilities for self-catering. If you want to book an excursion spontaneously, you can also do so with the local agencies. Really a very successful holiday! Next time I am on the island, I would definitely like to stay here again.
