Chaucer's Retreat, Chaucer House, Keswick

Excellent location and especially convenient having a parking space. Apartment was well equipped and had everything required for both a short or longer stay.

Nothing really other than maybe oil on squeaky doors.

A cosy apartment in a central location. It's spacious, with quality furnishings and a comfy bed. The kitchen has everything you need. The place heats up quickly which is great for a winter stay. Free parking is a bonus.

Bathroom with shower was a little snug

Only a 3 minute walk from town but quiet area. Reserved parking. Property was well presented and very clean. Basement therefore partially underground which kept it cool during the hot spell of our stay. Heating kicked in nicely for evening and early morning. Ideal for a couple.

The bed was hard for our taste though would, no doubt, be ideal for many.

Good location and a tidy, clean and spacious apartment.

The boiler failed so without hot water for two days. Temporary accommodation was provided while this was resolved. All worked very well, but just a little unfortunate.
