Charming Hen Cottage Countryside Retreat Lincoln

Great location, very relaxing. Lovely home made plum loaf cheese & wine included as were fresh eggs from their hens.

Fantastic place for a getaway. Host was really helpful and friendly and responded to our messages. Cottage was beautiful, lots of really thoughtful touches like fresh milk and eggs from the farm. Very clean, well laid out and a quiet and relaxing place for a getaway. The hens are very friendly too. Highly recommended.

This was a lovely stay. We arrived on valentine's day and they left us a lovely bottle of prosecco. The location was great very quiet and was close to Lincolnshire city centre and the wildlife park. They left us some plum loaf and that was absolutely delicious. We only saw the owner once when we arrived which was fine as it not a hotel there isn't staff around like there would be in a hotel which was absolutely fine for us. The bed was extremely comfortable so was really pleased with that. Good parking space available outside. I really enjoyed the stay and would recommend.

As other people have said the shower pressure is not that good but the temperature of the shower was good so that was a plus. Also there was a problem with the main door which kept sticking which made it difficult to open and shut but the owner was aware of the issue and they are going to look at getting that sorted.

An exceptionally well appointed holiday cottage in beautiful surroundings. Charming Hen Cottage is just that, charming. A large living area, beautifully decorated with a comfortable 2 seater recliner sofa and two easy chairs together with an electric fire meant plenty of room to relax, There is also a lovely large country-style kitchen with everything you need. Arriving for New Year we were greeted with Xmas decorations and lovely touches including Lincolnshire Plum Bread, cheeses, wine and beer. Honestly, our hosts could not have done more to make our stay a welcome one. Set in peaceful surroundings, the grounds of the owners property are there to explore including a medieval church. Lincoln is easily accessible as would be The Wolds and coast. After a hectic run-up to Xmas, the peace, quiet and comfort of Hen Cottage was an ideal location to unwind and relax.

Everything about Hen Cottage was wonderful: Owners, property, facilities, location. We have stayed in holiday lets all over Britain, but this time it was truly exceptional.

Peace, calm, quiet, welcoming and , comfortable. Top spec.fittings and spotless throughout. Wonderful hosts, so helpful during and after booking. Swift responses.at all times.

Two of us self catering for 3 days and 4 nights. We did find the under- counter fridge was small to fit our food and drinks in.
