"Perfect location for a quiet break away!"

We booked this last minute for NYE and were not disappointed. Hen Cottage is perfect for 2 people (and a dog!), it’s in a great location, spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a break away. John and Natasha are lovely, accommodating, welcoming hosts and we really appreciated the little added extras that were provided for us!

Location, layout, value for money, numerous thoughtful complimentary 'goodies', places to walk, great gardens, helpful friendly hosts... lots to like.

"Stunning comfort"

Incredible grounds (especially the little church). The cottage was very clean, gets a lot of light and is very well laid out. P.s. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you need. What was most refreshing was how accepting they owners are of pets, I took my very large dog with me and there were no issues at all, no stress or concerns. Was a delight tbh.

Shower cubicle small. But that's the only negative and the shower is still fit for purpose so is barely a negative frankly.

The peace and tranquility. Lovely outlook over gardens and fields. Lovely couple running it. Go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Very relaxing. Interesting features like a little church within the grounds which guests are free to visit.

We cannot recommend this property enough. John and Natasha were waiting for us at the gate on arrival and made us feel very welcome. The property was so comfortable is was like being home from home. The hosts have gone to extra details such as bathrobes, fresh milk and eggs from their hens. A welcome basket with treats and the most delicious plum bread and cheese. It is so wonderfully peaceful and we felt extremely chilled even though we were in the area for work. We cannot wait to stay at Hen House again in the near future.

Absolutely nothing. It is a gem of a place.
