I loved sitting outside looking at the sunrise, the view is beautiful! This unit has a washer and drier which I really liked, but there is also a laundry facility in the complex that you can use as well. The swimming pool is also very well maintained. The water was just extremely cold. But we dared it on for the fun of it. Having a gas braaier at the unit is also really very nice. There were emergency lights provided for when the electricity went out due to loadshedding ,so we did not have to sit in complete darkness or struggle to find matches or candles and the wifi still worked even when the electricity was off. The agent we had to work through was very friendly and gave us all the info etc that we needed. There were no hiccups communication wise and will gladly work through them again. The security at the complex is very friendly. The whole complex is very well maintained and a lot of effort goes into keeping it tidy. I would definitely come back to this complex and book again.

The first day, I had to sweep the floor as it was quite dirty.(spiders and cobwebs, dust, cockroaches- of which i killed 8 on the first day, I actually counted) I think that they did clean the place after the previous people checked out, but think the place then stayed empty for quite a while and was not cleaned the day before we got there. The cupboards and everything in there is very clean. The beds were clean and smelled clean and fresh. The living room couch cushions really need a wash, there are a few stains on them. There were no mats on the floor for when you get out of the bath or shower, so we had to use a spare towel. Being on the floor unit, i would have liked the windows of the other rooms barred. They are big windows and can easily be opened(obviously from inside). I actually mistakenly thought the one window was closed the first night but it wasn’t locked properly, so I kept checking in on my kids during the nights, to see if they are still there. I am very paranoid when it comes to my kids’ safety. And then there is a small window in the one room that does not close at all, the latch or something is broken, so when there is a strong wind blowing, you can feel it a bit coming into through the gap. Something I did not keep in mind when booking was having a table to eat inside. With two kids it was difficult and they had to sit on the floor, which made them mess more for some reason which meant more cleaning for me. There is a table outside, but on a rainy or cold day, you cannot sit there. We’ve never stayed on a ground unit before, the privacy is not that great as other people walk by on the tiny piece of grass outside, aswell as the security making his rounds. There are quite a few cats which is a real nusance. They lie on the couches at night outside and leave ticks behind. I had to clean the cushions every morning before we could sit outside.

The place was very nice and clean. Near access to the beach gate. Lovely views. Stayed up till 2am outside. Safe area. Guards were patrolling throughout the night. Cute cats visited.

There were no towels available.
