PALAZZO BECCAGUTTI CAVRIANI - Gallery Suite e Frescoes Suite

Lovely historic building. Clean throughout.

No sound insulation between the floors. We were on the ground floor and we could hear the people upstairs walking and talking and the trolly bags sounded alarmingly loud especially when the people were travelling at 4 a.m . Lots of attention was given to the design/look of the room rather than any practical considerations e.g where do you hang your towels as there were no rails or hooks. Also no T.V or comfortable chair to sit in.Beakfast was included but that meant being given some dried toast in a packet.

Staying in the Frescoes Suite provides so much more than accommodation. It is an immersive experience in history. We loved the juxtaposition of living amongst the historic art in a room that was furnished with contemporary designer pieces. So Italian! The kitchenette and bathroom are modern and we appreciated the dishwasher and finding fresh milk in the fridge and breakfast snacks in the pantry. Another lovely touch were the fresh flowers from the owners garden. Pierangela was a perfect host who kindly picked us up from the train station and kept in touch with us throughout our stay. She introduced us to the apartment and pointed out places of interest to visit and dine while in the beautiful town of Mantova. If you are visiting Mantova from Down Under, we can highly recommend having a coffee at “Ortika Coffee and Food”. They offer flat whites and they are perfectly made.

On dort dans une galerie d'art, c'est spacieux, ingénieux (en termes d'aménagement avec des surprises). On est à mi-chemin du Palazzo Te et du Palazzo Ducale. Le parking est à proximité.
