Staying at an art gallery was an adventure. The owners letting us see the exhibits on our own was also very nice!

The bathroom door not closing.

The property is beautiful and clean. The gallery-vibe is so cool and the main courtyard is a nice touch. The property had a kitchenette with a fridge, stove top, coffee maker, sink, etc. The host who let us in was very nice and accommodating, she let us drop our luggage off early. She also let us check out later on the weekend, we had to be gone before the weekend cleaning team arrived. Parking was across the street in a parking garage and she gave us two vouchers that gave us a discount on parking when we paid for the parking meter,

Not enough outlets in the apartment, especially by the bed. Bathroom door is hard to close and there's no lock. We had hot water in the shower for all of 10 mins and then it was luke warm/cold the rest of the day The apartment gets very warm because the sun beats down on the courtyard. We had to turn the AC on but it took a while to kick in. Literally felt like an oven when we got back one afternoon. Parking is tight, there's street parking outside the courtyard but it's always taken. Up the street is a parking garage that has a ton of space, it's just annoying how far it is and that we had to drag our luggage down the street on cobblestone and tight walk ways. Wish the main courtyard of the building had parking. But it worked out for us in the parking garage.

I've been to all sorts of outstanding accomodations all over the world - but this one is really unique! Pierangela is an excellent host: very knowledgeable, very caring and very stylish! Floor heating is very convenient during the colder months

Everything! The apartment is beyond stunning -- the main room is covered in 15th century frescoes -- and overlooks the courtyard and art gallery, so it is completely quiet at night. The host is friendly and kind and his property manager, Pierangela, was lovely -- she even collected me from the train station! The flat is well-equipped, with a dishwasher and amenities, e.g., hair dryer, coffee maker, coffee, tea and biscuits (a nice touch). I only wish I could have stayed longer! Mantova is a very pretty place that deserves more attention. People are friendly, the vibe is easygoing, and there is plenty to see. The Palazzo Ducale is magnificent -- and I say this as someone who has seen a fair few palaces. But don't miss the lesser-known Palazzo Te, with themed rooms inspired by classical mythology. The Chamber of Giants is one of the most mind-blowing paintings I've ever seen -- it wraps around the entire room and ceiling. Do not miss it!

The weather! But it was early March ...

It’s a breathtakingly-looking and very comfortable apartment for two. Loved the equilibrium between the marvellously frescoed walls and the design furniture of the room, as well as a very nice modern kitchen and bathroom. Loved every minute of our stay, and thanks to the disposition and quietness of the apartment, one can rest really well overnight. Huge thanks for the amazing hospitality!
