3, The Dolphin, 49 Quay Street - Stunning apartment - Quintessential - Quay views - Sleeps 2-4 people

The location is very good. Close to Newport centre but fairly quiet, and 5 minutes walk to the bus station. (the network of busses gives easy access to most of the places we wanted to visit) Easy access to M&S and Morrisons. Easy train, ferry and bus travel from the Midlands. The flat was very clean and in good condition. Quirky but quite acceptable.

The stairs are a bit steep for 80 year olds and the chairs could use a bit more support for elderly backs.

Wonderful apartment, cosy, so much character, everything had been thought of, great location and the added bonus of milk, bread, butter and biscuits 😀

Opening the bedroom curtains on a morning with the river view, ducks, swans, and above them, the early risers with their chosen beverages, outside the Arts Centre. The apartment was style and comfort in abundance. A few minutes walk from the town centre.

Great location, the walk from the nearest bus stops are less than 10 mins. The apartment has great views (photos in listing accurate!) near parks, shops, cinema, Medina Theatre, restaurants and the apartment had a great selection of dishes, silverware, a dishwasher, washer, drying rack and easy to operate appliances (bonus). The communication with the owner was delightful, warm and welcoming. Details were sent in advance for how to enter and I plan to return! Photos are of Osborne House (home of Queen Victoria); the green hillsides and a photo of the Quay. Be sure to visit The Needles, Shanklin Theatre (great shows here!), Dimbola Museum & upstairs art gallery with photos and posters of legends - walk to nearby Lord Tennyson's property from Dimbola and see the landscapes from up on the hill to the sea.

There are stairs when you enter the apartment and some within the unit too. But don't pass this up as it's a fabulous place to stay which is why I rated it so high! I plan to return!

The apartment felt homely with excellent location & views. Fully kitted with nothing missing, we had everything we needed and more! Jo was an excellent host, very responsive and made us feel very welcome by leaving some bits in the fridge & shortbread, thank you! We look forward to coming back :-)

The location and quietness.

Nothing.

Excellent location - just a short walk to the main town centre, yet quiet at the same time. On street parking was included, which made things nice and easy. The apartment is quirky with loads of interesting features. It's well equipped too, with everything you might need (milk, butter, bread , and chocolate biscuits were also a nice touch). Jo (the host) is super responsive and helpful.

Brilliant location for Newport. Very cosy, well equipped and comfortable flat. Excellent communication from the owner. Convenient parking.

Very minor but short on towels.
