Beppe, the owner is super friendly and helpful - he recommended restaurants /taxis etc. With regard to breakfast he asked us what we would like and went and bought it for us - including the addition of tonic water and lemons! The place is super central - easy to get everywhere in Palermo from by walking. All my other hotels booked through Booking.com were paid through the app but for some reason this was not. I gave a E200 deposit on arrival and paid the outstanding sum on the last day when we checked out by BT.

I was surprised I had not paid in advance ... Beppe was kind and patient. I checked and could see the payment had not gone through it had just been reserved on my VISA card. He also gave me a receipt.

Quiet at night, up a pedestrian alley, with balconies overlooking a courtyard garden. Yet 2 minutes down the alley, you were on the main cultural and historical street, with bars and restaurants. The property was unique, full of art and books and had everything we needed for healthy breakfasts in the sun (and dinner too - if there wasn’t a fabulous delicatessen at the bottom of the alley, and a fabulous restaurant in a quiet square down the other end).

Everything was fabulous, as was the host.
