Villa Adriana

The host was excellent - very sweet and accommodating - she waited up for till past midnight because our boat was running late and met us with a smile. The location is great - right in the heart of the town and very close to the port, but keep in mind there is no car access. The house itself is picturesque with built in beds, some lovely antique furniture pieces and a great little patio.

Unfortunately the double bed was exceptionally soft and not ideal for my bad back. The two singles were great though! Also, there were some areas that could have done with abit of a more thorough cleaning.

Location

Excellent location in pedestrian area amidst plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops as well as on the walk up to the Frankish Castle. Dropping a pin for location would have made it easier to find (vs the directions through the shopping district). I am very happy she came to meet us as we were exhausted from 30 hours travel. The rooftop terrace was larger than the living space of the villa, and had a front balcony view overlooking the seaport. Liked outside hose to wash sand off feet and dry out laundry on the line/rack. Was lovely sitting on the deckchairs looking at the stars, rooftops, and mountaintops. We felt very safe/secure here. The warm blanket on the shelf came in handy as we liked having the windows open all night!

There were more than 30 stairs inside and then another 26+ steps once inside the villa floor. Although it was out of the owner's control, a Petro tanker was in port offloading all night long, which kept droning on and on loudly... After shutting the doors/shutters, the property was soundproof. We kept stubbing our toes on the 12" wide concrete bedframe (LOL).

The location, fully equipped kitchen. We were allowed to use the washing machine.

The bed, very uncomfortable. And I was a little afraid to sit on the balcony chairs, those were almost broken.

So convenient for ferry and all transport. Traditional, quiet and cool . Right in middle of old town alleys. Very quiet. Great balcony with view of ferries. Great rooftop sun trap.

Very steep marble stairs on entry a bit tricky for older folks or limited mobility. Stair top next to kitchen area scary if you had kids . Very limited kitchen supplies… but who wants to cook!

Location was ideal. Close to the shops, main centre and restaurants.

The bed was quite firm.

Perfect location, beautiful views from balcony and terrace, spacious. Very helpful owner, easy communication, who even let use the wash machines downstairs.

Water pressure in bathroom was sometimes poor (still enough to take shower with some patience) and the the kitchen lacks proper glasses for water and wine (some random stuff).

Property needs attention. Cleanliness needs improvement and amenities were not up to standard

A super sweet lady welcomed us. The apartment with pittoresque garden was perfect!
