For us, the place was impeccable. It was well equipped, very comfortable and decorated tastefully. The host was responsive and friendly, as well as the gardener who shared tips and suggestions for places to visit. We had plenty of bath and kitchen towels, which was nice. The location was excellent. Just a short walk from the main street of Penrith and near the shops we wanted to visit. The flat was the perfect combination of old world charm and modern convenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I am giving it my personal max of 9 (just because I think as a matter of principle that things can always be improved).

Not much to say about any downside. Just a little comment for interested people with mobility issues: there seems to be a flat on the ground floor and another on the first floor. Verify which one you are getting if this is an issue for you. We stayed in the one above and it was perfect for us.

The place was very well equipped, warm, light and well located. I walked from the train station, no problem. It had so much more than I needed and instructions for everything.

The styling wasn't modern but that's nothing to complain about.

The location of the property to the town was excellent the shops, bars, restaurants all within short walking distance. Parking in a garage was a bonus. The bedroom furniture was very tasteful & classy. Host was very accomodating for an early arrival.

Only to point out to less mobile people that the metal staircase up to top of apartment carrying luggage to the top can be a bit tricky.

A really nice and well equipped flat. A quiet location with off-street parking in a garage. Penrith is a convenient location for Pooley Bridge and Ullswater.

Access to apartment by external, steep,34 step metal,fire escape-type staircase. Exhausting after 6 days of use by 2 76 year olds!! Lack of kitchen cupboards for food storage.
