Starhost - Casa GIULIA

The place itself was spotlessly clean & very spacious. Having two bathrooms was very nice, even for just 2 people. Having a clothes washer was EXCELLENT, with a drying rack to dry. After several Italian lodgings where the AC was only able to make the rooms "not too hot", it was pretty wonderful to have a place that got actually cool, despite the very hot weather! In fact, it got a few degrees cooler than we liked, & when the AC didn't respond to us raising the temp via the remote, we opened a (screened, yay!) window to modulate the temperature. Location was decent; convenient to train, but a bit of a walk to most things to do or eat. The shower had terrific water pressure, but felt rather tight, mostly from stepping around the weird drain.

We misunderstood about having a balcony? There is a door-sized window that opens a few inches onto a balcony, but there didn't appear to be a way to go out there. We could be mistaken, we were kind of afraid to break the window/door thing, but it definitely was attached in a way that seemed like it wouldn't work. So if you reeeally want to chill on a balcony, this probably aint your spot. Nice big fridge, but sadly no freezer; we like it when we're able to pre-freeze waters to take on excursions when it's so hot out.

Everything we needed was there, great location, loved the decor. The bottle of wine, coffee and other food bits on arrival were really appreciated! Hosts were fantastic and gave lots of recommendations.

The only slight issue we had was with the hot water cutting out at times which meant we had to have some cold showers. It was very hot outside so not the end of the world - I expect it would have been sorted if we'd mentioned it at the time as the hosts were brilliant and very quick to respond to any questions.

It is spacious with modern interior design. Walking distance to the train station and one of the ports with ferries to Amalfi coast.
