"A comfortable and very relaxing place to explore Norwich from."

10.0

Quirky old cottage with plenty of character, in a quiet location close all the best parts of Norwich. More living space than I was expecting. Would happily stay there again.

Couldn’t fault it.

"Best place we have stayed at so far visiting the uk.had everything we needed for a comfortable stay"

10.0

So much to like. Loved the welcome book….very professional and informative about the building and things to do. Location was the best. Walked everywhere and saw all the sites…easy walk to the train station to visit the seaside.

We were prepared for the stairs reading the other reviews. Left our heavy stuff in the dinning room. I’m 60 and my daughter 22. Just took our time navigating the stairs. It was not a problem for us. To be fair this was our 3rd house we stayed at and all the stairs take a bit of getting used too.

"Lovely characterful cottage just a shame about the stairs!"

8.0

The location of weavers cottage was perfect. I was visiting my son at Norwich Uni and his room was literally just opposite! That said, despite its proximity to the university it’s a very quiet neighbourhood. I enjoyed the short walk into Norwich and there were several lovely independent coffee shops nearby. Weavers cottage was well equipped with everything we needed for a few days away including a quiet little courtyard where you could sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The cottage itself is steeped in history with lots of character and quirky features.

I really wanted to love Weavers cottage however I had overlooked the stairs when booking! There are photos of them however I’d overlooked them and didn’t regard them as an issue. I really feel they should be mentioned so other guests are aware. If you have mobility/joint issue weavers cottage isn’t for you! I struggled so badly with these stairs, the top hand rail is coming away from the wall and needs urgent attention. My son almost slipped as he was wearing socks(not a good idea) and getting our luggage up and down the stairs upon arrival and again on departure was a nightmare 🤦‍♀️ Weavers cottage sadly needs a bit of TLC,the bathroom is very tired (almost grubby) I couldn’t help but notice the stains on the blind in the lounge, stains on the rug and on the upholstery. It’s all about attention to detail and along with the stairs (which are a real trip hazard) I’m afraid I wouldn’t stay again.
