Casa del Contrabbasso

Estar en casa de Paolo fue fantástico. En pleno centro cerca de todo lo necesario. La casa es amplia y con mucha luz. La cama muy cómoda. La calle es ruidosa pero sin embargo no hay ruido en casa y puedes descansar perfectamente. Fue una gran experiencia.

I really appreciated how attentive the apartment owner was—he always informed me about everything in advance. He was consistently responsive to all of my questions. He sent me detailed instructions via WhatsApp, both about the apartment and what to see in the city. Since we were traveling by car and parking in Palermo can be quite chaotic, he arranged parking for us just a short distance from the apartment for only €20 for three nights, so we had no issues at all. The apartment is located in a top location. The only minor downside is the number of stairs to reach the apartment, but honestly, all the other excellent aspects easily make up for it. The owner is truly kind and helpful, and the apartment has absolutely everything needed for a comfortable stay. He even treated us to a complimentary gourmet dessert for everyone at a top-notch café in Palermo, located near the apartment on the city’s most popular street. I can only praise the entire experience. He also helped us carry our luggage up the stairs upon arrival and again when we were leaving. Everything was truly outstanding. If I were to choose again, I would absolutely pick this accommodation without hesitation.

The only thing that might be a bit challenging for some is the number of stairs leading up to the apartment. It’s located on the third floor with no elevator, which means you do need to climb quite a few steps. However, this is also what makes the apartment special—the view from the top-floor balcony is absolutely beautiful and well worth the effort. So while the stairs may be a small inconvenience, they also come with the great advantage of a lovely, elevated perspective over the city.

Host is really hospitable. Apartment stylish and comfortable. Location near the Teatro Massimo just perfect. Miss this place already.
