Briogna by Maravigghia Palermo

A fantastic location to explore Palermo. The host of this property are vibrant and delightful. Super centrally located in the old town, an easy walk to the train station and everything else Palermo has to offer. Very clean, comfortable beds and functioning amenities. Simplicity at its best! A wonderful value for a few nights in Palermo.

If you intend to cook at all while there, there are no spices whatsoever and you will need to buy them.

The location was great and in the middle of the old town. The partners that own the apartment are superb to deal with and exceptionally professional.

The property is in the old city and close to many good restaurants and the station. The bedroom is large and well fitted out. The kitchen has all the amenities one could need. The outstanding feature however is the helpfulness of hosts, Salvo and Francesco. My wife had an accident that ended up needing stitching at the A&E of a local hospital. Not only did Salvo take us there on a Sunday evening, he waited around for an outcome! They recommended and arranged boat trips and tours for us, pointed us to excellent restaurants and more. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation is only a part of the experience of staying in an owner operated unit, the attention to detail and guidance and assistance is very important. I would highly recommend Briogna for a couple and would have no hesitation in staying there again.

The interior design is not great and the shower is very small (but usable).

The location is very central, just off enough from a very busy street, so the noise isn’t a problem at night. The flat is very nicely decorated and provides everything needed for a great short stay in Palermo and the host Salvo was very accessible and friendly. We appreciated all the little details that were clearly thought out and made our stay very special, thank you!

While the bathroom is spacious, clean and we appreciated the art in there a lot, the shower was a bit too small for comfort. The flat also got very cold during our winter stay, and the air heater takes a while to heat the place up - a problem that I assume wouldn’t come up at all in stays during the rest of the year.

property central to everything. Great area to UNESCO sites/meeting places for walking tours. Felt safe as a single traveller.Plus also as kitchen has all facilities plus washing machine.

Had some difficulty with the security gate key. However able to contact host who provided support. Location was a little noisy, but to be fair, some building works near by, plus local people obviously returning late from work at night were noisy.

General layout was as advertised

Apartment was right next to cobblestone roadway. Severely loud traffic noise all night from vehicles, motorbikes and pedestrians. Advertised as near parking. Nearest parking 400 meters away. Should advise not readily accessible for private motor vehicles. Shower recess very small, could not bend over to wash oneself.

Central location, quiet street. Lovely apartment. We were very happy with everything!!!

To be completely honest, the apartment went above and beyond what we anticipated! Our host was awesome, always quick to reply and super easy to chat with. The location is exceptional, right in the heart of the city, with an abundance of shops and restaurants in close proximity. The comfort of the beds surpassed our expectations, and the shower was good too, even though the shower space was a bit tight. It would've been cool to have a little shelf in there for our stuff. No issues with the Wi-Fi – it worked like a charm. The kitchen had everything we needed, and having a washing machine was a real lifesaver. Big shoutout to our host for the sweet coffee capsules they left us – a really nice touch!
