Trilly House

The apartment was clean and spacious, with lots of amenities. The beds were comfortable, and the view from the terrace was absolutely stunning.

Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The host greeted us very poorly and was quite unpleasant upon our arrival. She did apologize later, but I suspect it was mainly to avoid a bad review rather than genuine regret. THERE IS NO HEATING — something I only found out after arrival. When I mentioned it to the host, she simply replied that it was “written in the listing.” After checking, I saw that it’s not mentioned at all whether there is heating or not — which is unacceptable these days. So be prepared to wear coats indoors or come later in the year. There was also very limited hot water, which could be a problem if several people plan to shower around the same time.

Trilly house is super clean with a stunning view. We stayed here 3 nights, the host was very friendly and responsive. I would like to emphasize that the place was very clean, spacious and had all necessary amenities.

The view from the balcony is magical over Como lake. The apartment is big and clean. the kitchen is fully equipped. the location is perfectly quiet and peaceful with a supermarket and a few restaurants within walking distance. Monika who is the host is very nice and helpful. She also has a taxi business if you don't have a car. We highly recommend it!

Perledo is a small village above Varenna and gives a stunning view over the lake. The apartment’s balcony or the terrace at Bar Milano are especially lovely spots to make the most of this view! There is a bus service down into Varenna (although it is not that frequent) and an up to date timetable can be found in Bar Milano where you can also buy tickets). There is also a small supermarket. Varenna is lovely and you can buy a middle lake ferry ticket ( 4 ports including Bellagio) for the day for only 15 Euro as well as access fast jetfoils to further afield on the lake. A free “night bus” from Varenna back to Perledo and other nearby stops, starts at 9 pm from the station. It is only 6 seater though and if you don’t make it on then you simply wait until it comes back down. I think it runs for a couple of hours.

A little further from Varenna than we had expected but then you do get wonderful views!
