AL - Perola Dourada

Spacious apartment with everything needed for a comfy stay. Good location for visiting East side of the island. Shops and restaurants nearby. Well equipped kitchen.

We stayed 3 nights and there was nothing to complain about

The host is incredibly kind and ready to help anytime. The location is perfect for Pico ruivo and Levada de Caldeirao verde. Santana is pretty, in the middle of nature and fresh air. We had a shopping mall and a gas station really close. The air conditioners in the 2 bedrooms help to cool down the apartment because the temperature outside is hot and a bit humid. The key box made our arrival easier, we were independent with the time we arrived and left the apartment.

The kitchen at our disposal did not have the basic cooking products (oil, vinegar, pepper, herbs). We couldn't buy a bottle of oil/vinegar at the shop because we couldn't bring it with us in the luggage. We bought some herbs, pepper and peanut butter and left it in the kitchen for the next travelers though. Would be nice to have a hoover at our disposal to clean (after our meal for example or to hoover some insects we found). The toilets were leaking a bit and the flush didn't work properly. Not a disadvantage but just a warning : be careful if you're not confident with driving, the access of the parking behind the apartment is a bit complicated and narrow because you're in the mountains. You'll have to drive up a sloping road.

Very big and clean apartment. It was also well equipped, including some extra blankets and detergents. It is equipped with air conditioning.Good contact with the host. Each apartment has its dedicated parking place.

It would be nice to have some basic spices, and maybe some sugar, tea, coffee but it is only a suggestion and not something affecting the overall good impression

House is very comfortable: nice beds, completely equipped kitchen, cozy living room. Perfect location: very close to restaurants, shops, traditional houses. Heartbreaking beaches are very close too. Our family really like this place, it is not so crowded as Funchail, it is quiet, atmospheric and surrounded with so beautiful nature.

I thought I was renting a single room, but it turned out to be an apartment with multiple bed rooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, and two balconies. It was very well priced for such a large space. There was a clothes washing machine. The proprietor (who we never met) gave us the number of a good taxi driver to pick us up early in the morning to take us to a hiking trail. The property is much closer to the town centre than it looks on the map.

The House is very spacious with beautiful view on mountains. It has its own parking spot for those who came by car. It has equipped kitchen and washing mashine. The owner was super nice and we want to thank Maria for letting us come earlier because we had wedding. It has AC and the cleaning was very good. The check in and check out was superb and quick. The location is also good because you have few minutes to Santana centre.

The House and interior are a bit old and if you are not looking for spectacular conditions, it will be just fine. Fot the price its good offer. We only had a bit problems with wifi connection , it was very bad during our stay.
