Mont Rouge Cottage

That is on a functioning farm and to be surrounded by the fruit tree and stream running and the cottage was well equipped and clean ☺️

We did run out of water and have electricity tripped but was able to get it sorted . We had friendly dogs come to keep us company but one of the dogs ( beautiful friendly small black dog ); my dad found some ticks on him so please can the owner help this gem of a dog . This dog followed us around on our hikes almost as if he was protecting us .

The setting was unbelievable -the cottage was neat and very comfortable

The mattress in the second bedroom was not comfortable and we had problems with our TV

The cottage had everything we needed. It is located in the most beautiful part of Thulbach with exceptional mountain views, and it is very safe and private. The hot bathtub is a great bonus. The host was very accommodating with check-in and check-out instructions. We had a great time, and we are coming back.

Perhaps set of softer pillows would be beneficial

The location is exceptional. The stream running next to the cottage created a tranquil atmosphere. The two braais, jacuzzi, comfy stoep and hammock made for a good social weekend. We got some welcome treats and tea and coffee and milk. All in all, an unforgettable weekend.

We could have used a second bathroom for our group size.

The only thing missing in the kitchen was a frying pan - but we made a plan with pots.

The scenery is absolutely incredible! Staying right next to a river , was a new experience for both of us. It really brings that tranquil, relaxing getaway feeling.
