Mont Rouge Cottage

We loved the location and the tranquility of the place. We had an amazing stay and used the kol kol daily. We were in Bungalow 4.

The second bedrooms bed was not comfortable.

Maybe soap and shampoo could be provided.

The location of Cottage No 4 is the best - spectacular mountain views, a gurgling river and very peaceful - and with the hot tub and the braai area looking out onto the view. The internal space and furnishings were first class - comfortable beds, good linen, big leather couches and a well-equipped kitchen . We appreciated that an extra gas bottle had been left as the original one was only half full. The fridge was large enough for all our Christmas food. The bathroom was rustic but there was always enough hot water in the shower for 6 of us, and we used the outside shower. There were plenty of swimming towels, but the swimming pool was full of mating frogs!! so only the younger members braved it. We loved the walks round the dam, and of course, the hot tub. There is very little to fault and we will definitely visit again.

The only complaint, mentioned by other reviewers, is the fact that there is almost no outside furniture - just 4 plastic chairs and a few logs under the tree. But we knew this, so we took our own camping chairs and tables, which we set up under the big shady tree and spent all day there. And there is also a hammock. There were only 2 drying up cloths provided which, for a party of 6 for 4 days, was completely inadequate - buy as it was so hot we just washed them every evening and hung them out to dry.

Great setting and views, awesome kol kol and spacious venue, tastefully decorated.

Absolutely loved the cottage - so cozy and well equipped. Wonderful atmosphere and very friendly hostess and thoroughly enjoyed Kol Kol tub

The views are amazing.
