Near Villa Monastero and Castello di Vezio

Beautiful apt with spectacular view of lake. Terrace was great to sit outdoors, apt was comfy, roomy, with coffee and wine provided.

It was advertised as closer to town, it was a 40 minute walk with hills and climbs. We walked into town but cabbed home as mostly uphill. Cab was 15 E one way. Owner or property mgr offered to pick us up at station, it would be very difficult to find otherwise. He did charge 20e which was surprising . I felt should have been part of rental as so difficult to find. He showed us a few spots and restaurants to visit. Very quiet area.

The view from the apartment was fantastic! Apartment is roomy with a large balcony, living room, bedroom and kitchen. Did I mention the view is beautiful.

The apartment is about 1.5 miles from downtown Varenna which is a bit of a hike. We needed to work off all the gelato we ate so it worked out well. 😉

The property provides outstanding views over Lake Como. It is also very clean and has all the facilities to make your stay comfortable. The host Luri is very helpful from a fully equipped kitchen and extra clean sheets/towels, even drove to fix the electricity supply within 20 minutes when the toaster did a short circuit.

Getting to the property is a little tough by walk so I recommend hiring a car or taxi if possible.

Creamer for coffee would have been nice. 30 minute walk on street with no sidewalk to get to town, restaurants.

The property is absolutely amazing, great value for the money. And the views… stunning! I will highly recommend to everybody. Very easy accessible as well!
