Unacceptable and discriminatory behavior of the owner be aware

We arrived in Vilnius to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary with friends, coming from the US. We checked into the apartment and were shocked by the state of the building. The entrance was in terrible condition, with abandoned construction, dirt, and a foul smell, which wasn’t accurately described on Booking, so guests can’t see it in advance. The smell was so strong that my husband, who has asthma, had an asthma attack that night. Additionally, there were no instructions for the digital stove and TV, so I called the owner and received a very rude and discriminatory response once he heard I spoke Russian. He said, “You’re fucking Russian occupants, get out of my apartment, I don’t want you to stay here, I want you to move out immediately.” I was born in Ukraine, but in any case, this doesn’t give him any right to speak to me in such a manner. Because of our anniversary plans, I couldn’t find alternative accommodation that day, and my celebration was ruined by the owner’s behavior. I was in shock and cried all day. The next day, I found the first available apartment and left. Please be aware of the owner’s rudeness and the poor condition of the apartment—such behavior is unacceptable.

Being so close to the old town was fantastic. We walked everywhere and didn't need the car once in 3 days. The apartment is small but uses the space really well. Great to have access to a washing machine and rack to dry our clothes. We were very comfortable in this apartment.

There are always some small things that could be better. The shower has very low pressure and is a very small space. The bedroom is small and there's hardly any room either side of the bed but we managed just fine. The couch is a sofabed which means it's always a compromise and is seldom comfortable as a couch which was the case here but we were not in Vilnius to sit on the couch and watch TV, so it wasn't an issue at all.

Apartman je bio pun pogodak! Prije svega, čistoća na visokom nivou – sve besprijekorno. Prostor je lijepo uređen, baš kao na fotografijama, što uvijek posebno cijenim. Lokacija je odlična – samo nekoliko minuta lagane šetnje do starog dijela grada, što nam je savršeno odgovaralo. Komunikacija s vlasnicima bila je vrlo prijatna i jednostavna, iako se nismo lično upoznali, stekla sam utisak da apartman vode zaista divni ljudi. Sve je išlo glatko. Prije rezervacije pročitala sam recenzije i uhvatila detalj o stepenicama – svi ih spominju, a nigdje fotografije 😊 Moram priznati, bila sam znatiželjna, ali malo i oprezna. U stvarnosti, stepenice su zaista... pa, recimo da su u svom posebnom šarmu :) Djeluju kao da su još u fazi kreativnog izražavanja, ali su stabilne i sigurne. Nama nisu nimalo smetale – došli smo u dobrom raspoloženju i njime se i vratili, a jedne stepenice to sigurno nisu mogle pokvariti. Sve u svemu, topla preporuka! Apartman bih opet rezervisala.

Great location, right in the center of the city. Apartment looks renovated and very clean with a lot of amenities like coffee, shampoo, shower gel, etc. Big plus is free parking, there is no dedicated place but I could always find it.

Apartment is not suitable for 4 people, sofa bed is uncomfortable and very creaky, but the worst part is the dirty mattress with yellow stains on it. Also, there was a dirty mop or something in the wardrobe so we couldn't use it because of the terrible smell. Last thing, it would be nice if there were at least 1-2 capsules for the dishwasher and washing machine.

Excellent location in the historic center of Vilnius, within walking distance to all major attractions, restaurants, entertainment. The apartment is clean, quiet for a good sleep at night. Although the building looks old, inside everything is modern. It's well equipped, kitchen, washer, everything works. There are currently renovations going on in the building, so it was a bit ugly but it looks like it should be done soon.

The sofa bed is falling apart and isn't comfortable at all. I would say, this place is best for two people, not 3 or 4. The shower drain isn't working properly, it gets clogged all the time, I had to clean it twice in two days. There is no lock on the building door. This may be due to ongoing construction, but it would be safer if random people couldn't enter the building.
