Dons Place

Spacious apartment with splendid terrace on top of the ridge overlooking the sound and marina. Very comfortable, eat outside

WIFI mediocre, not covering every room. A bit far from Picton, but no problem for us, with car.

Rustic tidy accommodation, comfy bed ... but the views!! Wow!! So good. Could sit with a wine and watch those views all day. Better than any TV.

The bed is much too soft. There is a thick layer of mattress toppers.

Don’s Place was a very comfortable apartment to spend a night. The two bedroom apartment was spacious and very well equipped with all you needed. It was a lovely surprise to find some bacon, eggs, and bread to make breakfast with along with juice, and two cold bevvies. The apartment is quaint and could be a bit modernised but that was not a major issue to us. Views out the window (from kitchen and parts of living room were stunning but you didn’t see them if sitting down. It looked like there was a deck or patio you could use.

The bed mattresses were very soft and could be replaced.

The view was amazing and Don was a wonderful host.

The accommodation is dated but clean.

Unfortunately our stay was only a day. Don left us fresh fruit toast bacon and egg. The most magnificent views and a short but very very steep walk down to the Jolly Rodger for a refreshing meal.

It was very dated and dark. The photos looked like you could see the marina from the room. Very untidy surroundings. Went to use one of the pans for coking and it was dirty, old food on it.
