Cargagh Cottage

The location is great ,we found the instructions we received from Dorothy and Francis very helpful.The children had a wonderful time playing in the fairy garden with Jackie the dog.

We enjoyed our stay ,the cottage is a home away from home .We would recommend the place to others

A wonderful place to stay, the cottage has everything you need. It was cosy and clean, with easy parking, laundry facilities, wifi and a well equipped kitchen. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, even leaving some toys in the cottage and getting out tricycles for my daughter to ride around the drive. Definitely recommended

We had a six-night stay in the cottage. We selected the Cargagh cottage as we were visiting family in the area, but the cottage is well positioned to access interesing and lovely places around County Down. It's not far from either the beaches or the Mournes. The cottage is located down a very quiet and rural road but not too far from town and shops with supplies. It was extremely clean, cosy and well-appointed, wi-fi, washing machine and other things worked perfectly. It was very quiet and we got excellent sleep. The windows looked out of fields with cows and it was lovely to see the sun set over them in the evening. A bonus was seeing loads of stars on a clear night as the cottage is in such a rural place far away from light pollution. The hosts, Dorothy and Francis, were lovely and very kind to us and our children. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We definitely did not expect this as a service (not should one!), but thank you so much for taking our laundry down from the line when we were late coming back one evening! I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending Cargagh cottage to travellers. We will definitely be back!

No issues at all.

Such a lovely welcome as soon as wee arrived. So clean and well organised and thought out. There was even a Christmas tree up which was lovely for our kids. The outside space was fantastic and they left little vehicles out for the kids to play in the drive.

Cottage is In Immaculate condition. Very friendly and always ready to help hosts.Good breakfast

The sofabed is too small for 2 people and slow internet
