Cargagh Cottage

Francis and Dorothy had thought of everything. They even gave me a food care package on arrival (containing gluten free food as I am a coeliac). They also gave my 3 year old a care package when we left for the car journey. Geniunely thoughtful and lovely hosts. My daughter loved that she could see the cows in the back and also enjoyed exploring the fairy garden. We only stayed 2 nights for a wedding, but would definitely return if in the area again. Property was perfect for the 3 of us, very clean and kitted out. Bed was comfy and there were books/games were we to stay longer. I sat on the back patio having breakfast and a coffee the morning of the wedding, feeling very chilled and peaceful. I couldn't recommend this property more.

Margaret and Francis were fabulous hosts, very welcoming and Francis very kindly picked us all up a takeaway and delivered it back to the airbnb. Both were super helpful and friendly. Couldn't really ask for anymore and I am sure if we had any issues they would have went out of their way to assist us.

2nd bed - a sofa bed in the living area - not the biggest for 2 adults sharing but perfectly fine for what we needed it for - 2 nights to put our head down!

Excellent hosts and excellent accommodation. The apartment was very comfortable , very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The fairy garden was also very nice and was greatly enjoyed by our children. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay.

A cosy magical cottage in a great location for exploring Downpatrick and Newcastle. So well equipped and gleaming. The breakfast goodies were varied and went down a treat. My boys loved the meadow with all the fairies. Dorothy and Frances so friendly and helpful wonderful hosts. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return again!

Beautiful wee cottage with all the touches of home, in gorgeous surroundings. The hosts Francis and Dorothy are so friendly and welcoming, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our youngest loved that they left ride on toys for him to play with and both our children loved the fairy garden! The beds (double and sofa pull out) were both very comfortable. The cottage was beautiful and clean and the basket of breakfast goodies was fab! It was so cosy even with the rain battering down outside. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return again!

Only that it rained most of the time while we were up (though there are still plenty of indoor activities in reasonable travelling distance!)
