Authentic Oasis - Villa La Solara

The place was located at Anacapri with quite a steep climb to the accommodation. The location was convenient as it was close to restaurants, shops and bus stop/taxis. Quick communication to the owner and was easy to check in.

There was alot of mosquitoes around and the towel holder was not stable enough, it kept becoming loose.

Great localisation, close to fenice stairs, shops, chairlift and restaurants. We had very nice room with a sea view

Beautiful location, lovely terrace and easy communication.

Very uncomfortable bed and the shower didn’t turn off properly (which wasn’t communicated to us until we arrived, and had to figure out ourselves how to turn it off at the main). There was no bath mat and all the linen was just pretty old and tatty. I understand that this accomodation is significantly cheaper than alternative accommodation on the island but for €100 a night I still would have expected something a little better.

The location is perfect. 5 minute walk from the bus station and the chairlift station to Monte Solaro. 50 metres from the house you can find very beautiful little street with shops and restaurants. The place is very quiet so if you are looking for a peacful place, I must recomend.

There was little to like at this place. Perhaps that it was in Anacapri and that it had a sweet private little balcony. That is it I am afraid.

Where do we start… it is completely inaccessible by car which means that you have to take your luggage yourself to the door which is up an extremely steep hill so definitely not recommended for anyone who struggles to lift heavy suitcases on their own. The room was mouldy as per other reviews. We could literally hear the time the neighbouring guests turned on and off their taps in their bathroom. My side table was broken as was the light. The shower barely had any water pressure and was either scorching hot or freezing cold. No bath mat provided. Soap in sachets. Pillows like planks. The WiFi was terrible. Cups to use in communal kitchen one was cracked the other didn’t even have a handle. The host was non existent and every time we walked past not even a ‘have a nice day’ nothing. Pls don’t book here. We stayed at such lovely other places in the surrounding area for the same price. This place has no care for their guests whatsoever and is definitely to be avoided. It just feels like you are a means to an end for the season. Other guests we met had the same feeling. Disgusting.

Great location, very nice hosts. I will return.
