"Great, value for money with a good little German bakery on the premises"

Millgate is a very relaxed basic place to stay in old style berg cottages. Everything was adequate for our needs. It is good value for money in the area. Lovely german bakery on site with lots of goodies. The owners were friendly and welcoming. There is also a bar and restaurant on site. The cottages are cool in summer as trees cover the house. Winter there are heaters provided. Dont expect a view as its surrounded by trees but we were not there for a view anyway.

"Intetesting place"

Nothing really.

Dirt road poor quality- took out my oil cooler. Had to organize a flat bed and tow to Pietermaritzburg. No tea, coffee in room. Saturday morning 08h30 a team started cutting down trees. Guys next to us complained. Sunday morning more tree cutting and chopping. Had an argument with "Chris" who told me --" F### off you arrogant little C###". As if he wasn't aware customers prefer peace and quiet- keep the noisy cutting for weekdays. Packed up and left 3 days early.

"Exceptional"

Very peaceful and quiet place. Had all the necessary items for a self catering unit. Hospitality of the staff was fantastic.

The put put course was a little rundown. Nothing else that we didn't like.
