Bakewell Riverview

Location was excellent.A 5 minute walk & your in Bakewell. We couldn't check in till 4,as the cleaners were preparing the property for our stay.But that wasn't an issue.There's a car parking space allocated to the apartment, which is great as Bakewell can get very busy. I had an issue with the key code.But the owner answered straight when I phoned him.The welcome pack gives everything you need.I realised I was inputting the wrong code 😂 The apartment is spotless. I did read an old review that stated blankets could have been provided. Certainly not in the case for us. Bathroom has a large walk in shower & an oval bath. Underfloor heating & spotlessly clean. Washing machine, dishwasher, everything you need. The apartment has a lovely view of the river. We would sit & watch the ducks & swans go by 🦆Never once did we put the TV on. It was an extra special weekend as it was my birthday & the first time we've been away on our own since our daughter was born. It was a lovely relaxing weekend. We only live about an hour away,some may ask 'Why somewhere so close, to have a weekend away'. We answer 'why not' That was the whole point of the weekend. To relax, take it easy. CHILL. The apartment offered everything we wanted. Bakewell is very dog friendly 🐶.Nearly all the pubs, cafes allow dogs.We don't have a dog, but that didn't put us of from going for a drink/something to eat.

This isn't a negative. But if you decide to go out to any of the restaurants some of the pubs for an evening meal make sure you book before you arrive. This will avoid disappointment We would love to return with our daughter, but it's only sleeps 2. This could easily be solved by having a sofa bed in the living room. It's big enough,there is enough space for 1

How lovely to sit with a morning coffee and watch the birds and squirrels - plus, because of the excellent design, turn the lights off at night and chill whilst looking up at the stars. Gorgeous, comfortable appartment, handy for the town, eateries, accessing the Monsal trail plus other local attractions. Clear instructions from a welcoming host. Fab 😊

Great central location and view of the river. Bedroom view not so good, looking over the Pub bins. Spacious and comfortable. Lovely break.

Bedroom view. Kitchen had almost no oven dishes or trays so could not use it to cook evening meal.

Location is ideal for Bakewell and the parking a plus. The accommodation was very clean and the host provided comprehensive instructions and helpful advice about the area

Although the apartment was very clean it felt a little clinical for our own personal taste and a more cosy feel to the lounge area could be considered maybe with the addition of rugs, pictures etc.
