Baviaanskloof Guest Cottages

Unique and quaint. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rural non tar road about 70 km. Wonderful warm bedding in cold mountain air. Everything you need. Lovely farm stall opposite for breakfast. If you arrive late, I suggest ask beforehand if they can leave you fire wood.

No Breakfast. Location phenomenal.

We loved the layout of the cottage, the view from the bath, the plunge pool, the view, the view, the view! And the walks in the area. And the coffee at the padstal. Oh...and the visiting cat 🐈

One of the solar lights on the deck was malfunctioning, and flashed annoyingly even when turned off. I'm sure that's been fixed by now.

The key was left in the door of the cottage for us. Our host never came to greet us or to introduce herself which we find very strange. There was a rainstorm and the next moment the power went out we were not sure if it was loadshedding or a power failure maybe due to the storm. I tried to contact our host we feld unsafe accross the road we heard people laughing load and talking load and we had no idea what was going on. Luckily we had salads left of the previous night at the Karoo Nat Park and we had that for supper. We feld very unsafe and had a bad nights rest. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR GUEST FEEL SAFE AND SECURE. DON'T LEAVE THEM BY THEMSELVES SPECIALLY IF THEY DON'T KNOW THE AREA OR THE PLACE.
