Easy access to your vehicle as you park next to the house. BBQ facility right next to the house with a bench and table. Lots of power points in the room. Doors that can close off the shower and toilet separately. Clean room. Shower with a see-through roof. Really hot water. Super helpful staff. Breakfast and lunch available at the road stall a few meters away. Beautiful scenery between the mountains and under the trees. More than enough blankets and even more available upom request.

Power outages is a nation-wide problem so affects this community to. Luckily, you can still take a hot shower and make a fire outside when the power is out. Also, the restaurant has a gas stove so you can go for meal there, or just go enjoy nature.

When the other guests were finally quiet, it was a very peaceful and you could enjoy the quiet far away from city life. The staff at the padstall across the road was very helpful and friendly, advising were to go for hikes and offering wifi coupons.

The other guests staying at the property was very loud and noisy There wasn’t any clear instructions on check in and we spent about 20-30 min trying tk figure out how to go about checking in. Finally managed to figure it out when asking for help from the padstal accross the road. If you book the property at the lake, just note that there is no water in it at the moment. We thought we booked one of the cottages - oupatjie, but found that it was actually a much smaller room in the camping area which was disappointing - we ended up leaving a day early because this was too small with our baby’s cot in the room. (There is no pictures on the website of this; and although completely our own mistake, something someone else might easily make as well) The room we stayed in, had a shower that wasn’t completely sealed off from the outside (a sinkplaat shower) and there were lots of cobwebs and spiders which I didn’t like having around my baby.

GOOD MANAGEMENT OF CLEANLINESS AND EFFECTIVENESS ON EVERY ASPECT OF THE PROPERTY IS URGENTLY NEEDED. ONLY ONE BEDSIDE LAMP PER BED. SOME NONE. SOME WINE GLASSES WERE STICKY AND DIRTY. CAN'T USE GRASS BRAAI FACILITIES DUE TO CONSTANT WATER SPRINKLING PROBABLY SUITABLE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE, LARGE GROUPS OR BACKPACKERS FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY.
