Beautiful and spacious Basement Apartment

I like the spaciousness but being a basement it was very very cold.

The noise the thumping and shouting of the little kids and the shouting of relatives. WiFi was unstable a router is needed for downstairs

Great location for the RBC Open.

They don't tell you the bathroom is in the bedroom. That means, the person sleeping in the kitchen on the other sofa bed, has to come into your room to use it at night.

Nous avons été très, très déçus de l’état général de l’appartement. Nous considérons que cet appartement est insalubre tellement c'était sale : les murs, les planchers. Nous avons dû laver la vaisselle, les comptoirs et même les poignées de portes. C'est le minimum que nous avons fait. Le réfrigérateur était sale aussi et il n’y avait même pas de vitres sur le dessus des tiroirs. C'est vraiment désolant car ce pourrait être un très beau logement avec un coup de peinture fraiche et quelqu’un qui fait un vrai ménage. We were very, very disappointed with the general condition of the apartment. We consider this apartment to be unsanitary, it was so dirty; the walls, the floors. We had to wash the dishes, the counters and even the door handles. This was the least we did. The refrigerator was dirty too and there wasn't even any glass on the top of the drawers. It's really sad because it could be a very nice place with a fresh coat of paint and someone who does a real cleaning.

Great location. - Cozy basement space. - Strong water pressure in the shower; able to take hot showers. - Laundry was locked but host allowed access twice without issue.

Misleading listing details: - Ad claimed entire place was available, but the basement was divided into several rooms with key code locks. Cleanliness issues: - Bathroom not properly cleaned: - Hairs found on walls, around the sink, and toilet. - Bathroom trash had no bags, making disposal (e.g., feminine waste) inconvenient. - Kitchen towel was dirty. - Futon bed appeared to have dandruff. - Found a pizza box with leftovers and used dipping sauce under the futon. - Some dishes in cabinets were stained and not properly cleaned. Lack of supplies: - Extra linens provided but no bathroom trash bags despite being promised. Appliance and electrical issues: - Hair dryer caused a short circuit; host had to reset fuse panel. - Electrical socket next to the sink did not work. - Coffee maker and kettle were not used due to concerns. Shower issues: - No shelves or ledges to place personal items—only space was the floor. - Wall-mounted shower products were old, separated, and hard to dispense. - Had to be gentle with the shower faucet to avoid breaking it. Noise issues: - Bed frame squeaked excessively, making it hard to sleep without waking the other person. - Mattress was very hard (subjective preference). - Noise from upstairs was constant throughout 7-day stay: - Loud walking, vacuuming, and conversations could be clearly heard. Day 4: Strong gasoline fumes due to the owner cleaning with gasoline—unsafe to stay in the unit. Day 6: Screaming child stomping above made it feel like they might fall through the ceiling. Structural and minor issues: - Squeaky side entrance door—could be easily fixed with WD-40. - Squeaky stairs—needs structural repair. General dissatisfaction: - No refund option; stayed only because cancellation wasn’t possible. - Overall experience was negative despite normally giving positive reviews.
