Emerald Apartment

The location is pretty central apartment itself is cozy and the hosts provided everything you could need.

The enterance is old and so is the building, this can be a little creepy at night time.

The place is very modern and nice and in the centre of Budapest

Excellent apartment.

The location was good because we needed to be in that area for a few days, and it's very central. Also, it's easy to walk to from the Central Train station. It was only within 10 minutes walk from the train station. Easy to get to supermarket and eating venus. What was unsure from the beginning was how to obtain the key or code entry, but at the end we managed to meet the owner and he gave us the key by hand face to face. It's a busy season so we understand they were busy and there were guests staying just before us, so we had to wait for their cleaning process to be done first before checking in. So the early check in at 11:00am option was not possible, so we collected the key at 13:00 then checked in after 15:00 or much later. It all worked out ok for us and Alex was friendly & easy going. There are things that could be a bit more better, like the washing up liquid was very low (however we don't know whether it's left from the last guest or if the apartment was supposed to provide? But it was enough for us to use at the end. We were careful with using energy, so we tried to switch off lights and air-con when we were out or didn't need it. Everything else were provided including hair-dryer, washing machine, phone charging cables, converter plugs and many minor details, so it was a trouble-free staying which help a lot, when you only plan to stay for a few days! The drinking facilities with coffee machine, tea were really nice, thank you.

The toilet door and the bathroom door were closing/opening on each other which was funny and was surprised that it was allowed. Unsure what to think of it. But it's ok...just thought I mentioned, it's not a bad thing. The lighting were either too strong or not enough, it's difficult to find the balance, then in the right hand side bedroom, there were at least x4 sets of different lights...then there's no door/separation to the shower room. The flat has 2 shower rooms but only 1 toilet, which was also strange but it's fine too. Normally you assume there will be a toilet in each shower/bathroom but that was not the case. The shower was a bit slow but was constant. However, being on the 6th floor (lift stops on the 5th floor), there might be issue with water pressure to consider.
