Apartamento Amarante - Vista São Gonçalo

We had a great time at the apartment, thanks to Miguel who gave us a great welcome, local recommendations, plus some local wine! Great views from the balcony and an easy walk into Amarante. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed.

The property has been recently refurbished. It is modern and very comfortable. Free private parking is provided. The property has all of the necessities for cooking and comes with dishwasher and washing machine. We enjoyed the peaceful views of the river from our private balcony. The property is in a very quiet part of town and we could hear the flow of the river at night as we lay in bed. The owner made us feel very welcome and is a good communicator. Thank you Miguel.

There is nothing not to like. We loved the property!

It was only a 15 minute walk into the town, but challenging hills both ways.

Difficult access down a very steep,narrow, cobbled street and parking area was difficult to negotiate in a larger car.

On arrival we found the apartment immaculately clean and exceptionally well equipped, it was bright, very comfortable and spacious and had a lovely balcony overlooking the town and river. The host, Miguel, was very friendly and kindly left us a delicious bottle of home made vinho verde on our second day. All in all a fantastic 3 night stay in the beautiful town of Amarante.

The only thing to mention is that the walk from the town to the apartment is up a steep hill. The reason the apartment has such great views is it is fairly high up; the walk could be an issue for anyone who is not reasonably fit.
