Dana-Cozy Studio with Shared Entry in the City

Can hear every conversation from next door. People can peep into your studio through the cracks. The place is situated on an office. The unit has been divided into two studio apartments, poorly, and I could hear every conversation very clearly from next door. Door frame to studio isn't even finished, so people can see into your studio! Pictures show both studios, but fully expect it to just be the size of a typical hotel room. It's not that big. I was drawn from location and prospect of own apartment. It felt like a bad hostel, feeling I had to creep around the place and listen in to the couple and their daughter next door complain how they hated the pace so much. They stopped talking when they heard me blow my nose. Couldn't care less about the noise of a saturday night crowd in the CBD, or that the balcony was still being used to dry yesterday's laundry, or that the shower area wasn't spotless. At all costs, avoid. I don't think this place is operating legitimately.

Location and initial communication with landlords

Front door lock didn’t work… slept with the furniture up against the door for extra security.. The word murder was written on the shower.. Could hear the neighbours watching tv and showering..not very soundproof. To say I was freaked out is an understatement

It is close to the part of Canberra I was visiting as well as the bus station.

No tv

The place is in a really good location. It is surrounded by restaurants, a shopping mall, and pubs. It’s in a good area to walk and explore.

It can get a bit noisy at night.

Communication with the host was excellent throughout. The location was great. Very easy to find the building. Host was very flexible and helpful in all our queries.

If there had been some milk it would have been helpful for tea/coffee.

The location was ideally placed in the centre of Canberra’s Civic district.

Due to the location of the property after a certain time the area becomes very noisy with music and other noise until very late at night. The property was also quite dusty and dirty but nothing that couldn’t be quickly cleaned.

City convenience.

No televison in the unit.
