Arrecife Azul

Very good location with simple and fast communication to the whole island. The apartment exceeded our expectations, the owner took care of the smallest detail, and you can get everything in this apartment.

The location of the flat is convenient - just 7 minutes drive from the airport and close to roads out of Arrecife for touring purposes. 5 minutes walk to a large sandy quiet beach. Two supermarkets round the corner and a newly opened Aldi just 5 minutes walk away make self catering a doddle. The flat is well equipped and comfortable. (eg good knives, scissors, corkscrew, plenty of crockery, cutlery in the kitchen) Two bathrooms, plenty of clothes storage space and hangers. We appreciated the bottle of water and wine in the fridge on arrival and the chocolates on the pillow. Washing machine (we didnt use as just there a week) - no dishwasher but we didnt cook much so not a problem. We especially appreciated Abdon allowing us to stay longer on our last day (as the cleaner wasnt coming in till the next day) given our flight wasnt till the evening.

It was a bit stuffy on arrival as the flat clearly hadnt been used for a while so was airless. It took several days of careful airing to get rid of a slight smell of stale sweat. Perhaps a 'deep clean' (washing rugs, curtains etc) at some point might be in order? There are few restaurants nearby. (The best is El Nido about 10 minutes walk away). It's half an hour to the Charco (harbour) where there are excellent fish restaurants. We often ate out at lunchtime instead and in the evening had a snack and a bottle of wine sitting on the balcony enjoying the lovely palm fringed courtyard.

Really well appointed, good facilities and comfy beds. Everything we needed. Very impressed to have shampoo and shower gel provided in both bathrooms!!

The apartment was very quiet, clean and well equipped. The bed was comfortable. The host was very helpful and friendly. The location near to the bus from the airport was handy and it is a pleasant walk along the sea front to the old harbour area. The bar and shops across the road were convenient, welcoming and good value.

Nothing to complain about at all.
