Fox and Hounds Cottage, Starbotton

The Cottage was extremely comfortable and felt like home. It is large and has everything you need.

It is very isolated, with very little to do at night. The food around the area, including kettlewell & Starbotton is very expensive, almost the same as London

Great self catering property at the back of the Fox and hounds pub. The accommodation is in a great location for a waking holiday and we enjoy having a pint at the end of a goid day out

Beautiful bathroom and wonderfully warm bedroom. Fully functional kitchen with oven which was lovely.

The returns on the fire doors were very powerful. Essential but still hard work.

Perfect location, very comfortable, pub food excellent, staff very friendly and helpful

Smell of dogs and dog hairs left on carpets uncomfortable mattresses need replacing with memory foam mattresses

We were very impressed with the spaciousness of the cottage. I am allergic to dogs, so I was concerned about the cleanliness of the cottage: that it would be clean enough for me to stay in it. I was particularly concerned about the soft furnishings and the carpets. But, no worries. They were well vacuumed.

I think that the mattress by the window will need changing soon. Towel provision was barely adequate. There were no proper bath towels. I think that the cottage needs a deep clean some time soon. For example, the backs of the chair seats are grubby and the carpets may need a steam clean.
