Fox and Hounds Cottage, Starbotton

Lovely little bolt hole in the middle of the dales. Had most things you would need so you don’t have to pack everything. The owners/managers of the pub/accommodation were really helpful, friendly and went the extra mile on a few occasions for us.

I can’t complain too much because the property was fantastic. The only thing I could say is I could have done with a tea towel and some kitchen roll. If I’d have asked in the pub, they probably would have lent us one but I didn’t get chance to ask.

Cosy well equipped cottage, good beds, good shower, lovely food in the pub next door and great hosts.

No pan lids in the kitchen. Tv hard to work.

The cottage was lovely and the pub is full of character.nothing is too much trouble for Shelley Dan, Naomi and Hannah to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable.food at the fox is amazing thanks Dan .the location is stunning and a perfect base for getting around. Big, new bathroom with large cubicle and powerful shower. Comfy beds, plenty of drawer and cupboard storage, new soft carpet upstairs. Well equipped kitchen, large television and comfy sofa. Next to the pub for lovely meals. Super friendly staff. All in a secluded, quiet pretty village. Very happy overall.

A great little cottage nicely fitted out with a well equipped kitchen (not that we cooked any more than porridge...). Good food next door at the pub. And a perfect location for a long weekend cycling in the Dales!

Not much - but the bedroom curtains could be thicker because they let in lots of light
