Bellevue Tamarin

During my Christmas holiday stay at Bellevue Tamarin, I had an amazing experience. Fabrice, Pascale, and Ali warmly welcomed me from the moment I arrived, making me feel completely at home. They hosted a delightful Christmas dinner for all the guests, and we celebrated New Year’s together on Tamarin Beach, which was unforgettable. The property is both convenient and beautifully maintained, featuring a stunning garden, and it's perfectly situated for exploring the South Island. I'm leaving with cherished memories and can't wait to return. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Amazing place, amazing hosts and great apartment. Fabrice and Pascale are really welcoming and warm. We ended up feeling we made new friends. They gave us great advice on what to do in Mauritius both before and during our stay. Fabrice called us in advance and gave us advice on how to move around in Mauritius, why we ended up renting a car, which made the trip a whole lot better. Upon arrival Fabrice took us on a guided tour in Tamarin to show us where to eat, shop and so on. We ended prolonging our stay even though we had booked another place in advance. We stayed in the penthouse apartment with our 7 month old baby and it worked out really well. They offered us to borrow a baby chair, baby cot and carry backpack for hikes. They have three sweet dogs, and we weren't worried for a second about them. They even came up one morning to say hi but only because we forgot to close the gate to our apartment. When the baby was put to sleep we especially enjoyed the roof terrasse. All in all we would highly recommend to stay with Fabrice and Pascale and we hope to come back one day.

The property was so nice. It had everything needed and the location was good. It is a litte away from the beach but thats perfect because it was quiet. The hosts were super nice and I would definitly go there again. They took me and other guests to a concert of a mauritian singer and it was sucha nice experience.

Kitchen equipment could be newer and better. Mosquito nets in windows/doors would be super helpful at night. The location was a bit further from the beach because it was not possible to cross unoccupied plots nearby and get to the beach through a much shorter and faster route. Not owners fault of course

When you think of the word Penthouse you think luxury. This penthouse was certainly not that. Our main concern was the safety of the electrics which blew repeatedly every night, luckily the owner showed us where the fuse box was so we could reset it every time we were plunged into darkness. We worked out in the end that we could only use one appliance at a time. The overhead fan in the main room was broken and we could not even use the very noisy free standing fan provided when using the cooker or any other appliance as the electrics blew. The bedding was cheap and crumpled; the bedroom was advertised on hotels.com as having blackout and an overhead fan, it had neither. Generally the property is run down and done on the cheap and to top it all there is a very noisy construction site next door to compete with the noise of constant traffic on the road below and barking dogs. We booked this penthouse apartment for 11 nights but only endured 4. We have received a partial refund but not full for the nights we did not stay. Most annoying was the owners claim we had not informed them of the repeated electrical problems and that we were leaving - she stood in the kitchen face to dace with me and witnessed my stress and upset and I told her we would be leaving. If you like a homestay feel and don’t mind poor quality facilities, this is the place for you - the owners clearly enjoy talking to and organising their guests. We just wanted privacy and safe accommodation.

Very nive place to stay and a great and lovely family! If you don't want the luxuary hotels and want a nice place to stay this is a fantastic place. From there you can explore the hole island. If we go back it will be at Bellevue!!!
